Cecile Pemberton
Director
Cecile Pemberton is a research professional. She holds a BSc. and Msc; in Economics from the UWI, St Augustine. Her career was launched at the UWI's Economic Measurement Unit and the esteemed Sir Arthur Lewis Institute of Social and Economic Studies (SALISES), concentrating on analysis of Caribbean financial markets. Since then, her career has taken multiple paths. She has had stints at the United Nations Development Programme, a private service micro-enterprise and at the well-respected consultancy firm, the Association of Caribbean Energy Specialists. She has also worked on a continuous freelance basis, providing research and consultancy services in areas including sustainable development, financial markets, entrepreneurship, cultural industries, project management and strategic planning for both public and private institutions. Clients include the UNDP, the National Energy Corporation and Environmental Resources Limited.
Ms. Pemberton worked most recently as a researcher and economic analyst with the well-respected energy sector consultancy firm, Association of Caribbean Energy Specialists. In addition, on a freelance basis for the United Nations Development Programme and international consultancy firm, Environmental Resources Management. Beyond her keen interest in issues pertaining to sustainable development, Ms. Pemberton also has a strong background in data gathering as well as statistical and econometric methods.
